About Tip Top Tips
Tip Top Tips is a football predictions game. You pick scores. Your mates (and everyone else!) pick scores. Someone gets to be insufferable about it.
You picked your mates. No returns.
How it started
Started during the last World Cup when keeping track of everyone's picks in a WhatsApp spreadsheet became unbearable. Someone predicted a 7-2 upset, someone else swore they'd called the nil-nil draw, and nobody could prove anything because the spreadsheet was a mess and Gary kept editing his predictions after the match.
So, we built this instead.
Play your way
It's up to you. Play solo and take on the world via the global leaderboard. Or create a private group for your mates, your work colleagues, your family — run your own competition. You can do both at the same time.
Your predictions are yours. They count on the global leaderboard and in every group you join. One set of picks, bragging rights everywhere.
How it works
Pick your scores before kick-off. Earn points when you're right. Watch the leaderboard. Experience the specific joy of being correct about a sport where nothing makes sense.
Analyse your tips, not just track them
Multiple ways to dig into predictions — before kick-off and long after the final whistle. See how the crowd called it, which teams you over- or under-estimated, and exactly how your group stacks up match by match.
Crowd Tips — see how everyone predicted each match, before kick-off and after. The split bar, margin chart, and score matrix show exactly where the crowd was confident — and where they got it wrong.
Team Calibration — tracks whether teams are over- or under-estimated by the crowd across the whole tournament. Poster cards highlight the biggest mismatches, and the scatter chart plots every team by pick rate vs actual performance.
Score Calibration Matrix — compares what the crowd predicted for each scoreline against what actually happened. Spot the scores everyone over-tips, and the upsets nobody saw coming.
No money. No gambling. Just the deeply human need to say "I told you so" when Belgium finally disappoints everyone.
